<p>Recently, BTC recorded volatility amidst market fears ahead of today’s FOMC meeting, but today, the price of the digital asset surged amidst a huge dose of optimism stemming from Trump’s call with Putin which hinted at the end of the Russia/Ukraine war.</p> 
<h2 id="russia-ukraine-war-is-coming-to-an-end">Russia-Ukraine War is Coming to an End</h2> 
<p>On March 18, the US AI and crypto tzar, David Sacks shared a post on X, saying that President Trump has secured an energy and infrastructure ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war – this is the first de-escalation in three years, paving the way for a full ceasefire and permanent peace.</p> 
<p>Trump also secured Russian cooperation on Iran/Middle East, marking some extraordinary accomplishments.</p> 
<p>Sacks shared a White House official statement detailing the Trump-Putin call in which the two spoke about the need for peace and a ceasefire in the Ukraine war. Both leaders agreed that the conflict needs to end with a lasting peace, highlighting the need for improved bilateral relations between the US and Russia.</p> 
<p>According to the official notes, the war should have never started and should have ended a long time ago. Both leaders agreed that the peace movements would begin with:</p> 
<ul> 
 <li>An energy and infrastructure ceasefire</li> 
 <li>Technical negotiations for the implementation of a maritime ceasefire in the Black Sea, a full ceasefire, and permanent peace</li> 
</ul> 
<p>Negotiations will begin immediately in the Middle East. The two leaders also spoke about the Middle East as a region of potential cooperation to prevent future conflicts, highlighting the need to stop the proliferation of strategic weapons. They also shared their common view that Iran should never be in a position to destroy Israel.</p> 
<p>Trump and Putin also discussed the need to improve the bilateral relations between the US and Russia, and this includes huge economic deals and geopolitical stability when peace is achieved.</p>
