The WHY Combinator aims to boost the adoption of Shiba Inu technologies. It will assist developers using Shibarium, the network’s Layer-2 blockchain, to create new projects. Kusama envisions making “Powered by Shib” as recognizable as major tech brands like Google.
Central to this initiative is the TREAT token, which stands for Transactional Rewards for Engagement & Access Token. TREAT will serve as a settlement token for projects within the WHY Combinator and encourage community involvement through weekly TreatDrops, rewarding user engagement.
Kusama highlighted that this program will attract new users to the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including features like the Metaverse and Shiboshis. It aims to incentivize new protocols and projects, marking a significant shift in community engagement.
Additionally, Shiba Inu developers are looking to expand BONE’s role within the network. Currently a gas token for Shibarium, they are exploring new functionalities, including the launch of Layer-3 solutions. This would allow Shibarium to function as both a settlement and data availability layer, similar to systems like Arbitrum.
Despite skepticism, Kusama remains optimistic about Shibarium’s future, focusing on innovation and the development of a scalable ecosystem that attracts developers and real-world applications.
