Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said his firm is focused on being at the forefront of agentic (autonomous) artificial intelligence, as it delivered record revenue in the third quarter.&nbsp;
“The age of AI is in full steam, propelling a global shift to Nvidia computing,” the company’s founder and CEO Jensen Huang said on Nov. 20, as the firm <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/nvidia-announces-financial-results-for-third-quarter-fiscal-2025" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">announced</a> that its quarterly revenue was up 17% from the second quarter and 94% from a year earlier.
The lion’s share of that revenue, $35.1 billion, came from the company’s <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/learn/articles/what-is-big-data" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">data centers</a>, which help power the <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/how-to-train-an-ai-bot-to-day-trade-crypto" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">AI</a> revolution. Huang anticipated continued strong demand for AI computing technologies, projecting Q4 revenue of $37.5 billion.&nbsp;

“We see the number of AI native companies continue to grow. And of course, we’re starting to see enterprise adoption of agentic AI really is the latest rage,” Huang added during the Q3 earnings call.&nbsp;
The firm, now the world’s largest with a $3.6 trillion market capitalization, is positioning itself as a key enabler of “AI agents” and agentic AI technologies.&nbsp;
It aims to achieve this by providing high-performance computing platforms like Hopper and Blackwell <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/hut-8-gpu-service-program-ai-developers" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">GPUs</a>, developing AI software frameworks that support complex AI agent development and creating tools that allow enterprises to build and deploy autonomous AI systems.
Agentic AI refers to artificial intelligence systems designed to exhibit autonomous decision-making and goal-directed behavior.&nbsp;
They can autonomously understand complex goals, break down tasks into smaller steps, make decisions and take actions with minimal human intervention and execute multi-step reasoning processes.
Agentic AI systems operate with a level of independence and can adapt to changing circumstances, choosing actions to achieve objectives in dynamic or uncertain environments.
<a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-sec-back-nvidia-crypto-sales-class-suit-supreme-court" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">Nvidia</a> is not alone in its drive to be at the forefront of Agentic AI. In a blog post on Nov. 19, software giant Microsoft <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/blog/2024/11/19/introducing-copilot-actions-new-agents-and-tools-to-empower-it-teams/" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">pitched</a> autonomous AI agents for its Copilot AI assistant and other products.&nbsp;
The company is teaching a new set of AI tools how to “act on our behalf across our work and life,” said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at a conference on Nov. 20.&nbsp;

Nvidia stock did not react to the bumper revenue report, dipping 2.5% to $142 in after-hours trading, <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://www.google.com/finance/quote/NVDA:NASDAQ" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">according</a> to Google Finance.&nbsp;
&nbsp;The leading <a data-ct-non-breakable="null" href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/ai-cryptocurrency-prices-nvidia-earnings-report-analysts" rel="null" target="null" text="null" title="null">AI tokens</a> were not boosted by the Nvidia results either, with most of them in decline at the time of writing and only Bittensor bucking the trend.&nbsp;
