<h4>Devcon 7 in Bangkok kicked off today. It’s held from 12th November through 15th November. With it come plenty of side events. The list of these side events almost seems endless. </h4> 
You need to make the right choices to visit events that you’re interested in. You can literally find events spread out over the whole city. So, let’s take a closer look at some Devcon 7 side events in Bangkok. 
<h5>Flare Run</h5> 
It was an early start this morning. The first event was the Flare Run in Benjakitti and Lumphini park. Organized by <a href="https://flare.network/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Flare Network</a>. A great moment to connect with other running-minded crypto fellows. Each day has various early morning sports events. For instance, running, yoga, climbing, or other sports. 
Some 40 people made it 6.30 am to the starting point, and we had an interesting run around the two parks. They’re connected by a small gangway. It was great to connect with people from various sectors of the crypto industry.

<h5>Wow Summit</h5> 
The <a href="https://bangkok2024.wowsummit.net/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wow Summit</a> is a crypto conference alongside the main, Devcon 7 event. It has various crypto-related booths, and a stage for panel discussions. Among the booths, there’s a very high attendance from China. However, many even with lots of staff don’t speak any English at all.&nbsp; 
The event runs over two days. However, it’s not as busy here as yesterday, which is most likely due to the main Devcon 7 event starting today. Still, there’s an optimistic vibe. Everybody woke up at $BTC at $88,000. Now, a couple of hours later, $BTC is closing in on $90k. There’s an optimistic vibe in the hall. 
So far, I visited two panel discussions. The first one was about TradFi meeting <a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/category/defi/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DeFi</a>. Some takeaway points are, for instance, 
<ul> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Many governments are still uninformed about the crypto sector. They haven’t studied crypto or are familiar with it.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><a href="https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/?s=rwa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">RWA</a> is going to be a leading trend. In the future, it will be possible to tokenize everything.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">The crypto sector needs to be more user-centric. For example, many people that are new to crypto, don’t understand noncustodial wallets. They’re not necessarily aware of the responsibilities that these wallets carry. There’s no security net.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Make use of AI in DeFi.</li>

<h6>The Multichain Universe: Navigating the Future of Interoperability.</h6> 
Some key points of this panel included, for instance, 
<ul> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">It’s important to find a technology that combines everything. Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch said this.</li> 
 <li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1">Currently, interoperability is still far away from an ideal situation. However, it needs high security standards. Bridging between networks has risks, for example, with bridges.</li> 
</ul> 
Later today, there will also be the Sui Connect Bangkok will take place. This should be a very busy and popular event.

<h5>Sui Connect Bangkok</h5> 
As expected, Sui Connect Bangkok was super busy. Sui is at the center point of attention right now. There’s also quite a bit of interest from EVM projects for Sui. The atmosphere is electric.&nbsp; Many Sui builders and wanna-be or soon-to-be builders are attending. Plus, loads of different people. Not only from the Sui ecosystem but also from different crypto sectors. 
Ranier from Sui gave a short presentation. Interesting to see that the next Sui Basecamp 2025 will be in Dubai. It will be held on 1st and 2nd May. I also met with the founders of a new Sui AI project, Oscar. They plan to launch a testnet within the next 3–4 months. They will offer GPU services. Something to look forward to. One of the other attendees is Kris, founder of <a href="https://scallop.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Scallop</a>.
