In a statement to Engadget, Lego confirmed that no customer accounts were compromised and that the issue was resolved quickly. Lego reassured customers that the situation had been addressed and measures were taken to prevent future occurrences.

The tweet was viewed over 628,000 times, with the comment section disabled to increase the scam’s credibility.
