Ripple CTO David Schwartz used <a href="https://x.com/JoelKatz/status/1842059348069253626" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">social media to warn</a> about another scam targeting Ripple users. He wrote:

 “Yet another elaborate scam attempt today using both SMS and email. This is a scam. Do not fall for it.
</blockquote>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-crypto-scammers-ramp-up-attacks">Crypto Scammers Ramp Up Attacks</h2>
The top executive shared a screenshot of a fraudulent email that appears to be from Coinbase. The email includes details about a case with asset shielding, including the case ID, representative’s name, date and time of the call, and instructions on what to do if the call is disconnected.
To seem more legitimate, it also included a disclaimer stating that Coinbase is not liable for non-delivery or delayed delivery due to circumstances beyond its control.
However, it’s important to note that this email is a scam, and Coinbase did not send it. This is not the first time Schwartz has issued a scam warning. Previously, he’d warned users of a <a href="https://x.com/JoelKatz/status/1828311882652098686" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">phishing attempt…</a>
