<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/hut-8s-q2-2023" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Hut 8</a> has announced the launch of a new business vertical — <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/kaspa-takes-the-lead-in-gpu-mining-sets-sights-on-transforming-pow-landscape/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GPU</a>-as-a-Service, providing computing power based on a cluster of 1,000 NVIDIA H100 graphics processors. The service is scheduled to go live in the third quarter of 2024.
The new offering will allow clients to utilize powerful GPUs for tasks related to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and high-performance computing. Hut 8 offers multi-year fixed-fee contracts with profit-sharing, providing predictability and flexibility for customers.
Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot noted that the launch of GPU-as-a-Service is a strategic move to diversify the business and expand the company's presence in the high-performance computing sector. The new service is expected to significantly boost the company's revenues in the coming years.
