Donald Trump Jr. thanked the crypto community and developers for their efforts in the newly launched project, Wold Liberty Financial. The Republican candidate launched the project on September 17 in a live-streamed interview on X. During the launch, the former president did not discuss any project details.&nbsp; 
On the other hand, his son, Donald Trump Jr, discussed the need to embrace cryptocurrency as an alternative to the banking system during the launch. On September 23, the former president’s son expressed his enthusiasm over his family’s joining the DeFi space. 
He stated that his family was thrilled to make a difference in the DeFi space and that, through the project, they would introduce more people to decentralized finance.&nbsp;

Trump Jr. also praised the developers’ work ethic, adding that they put in more hours to ensure the project’s success. The former president’s son concluded the announcement by assuring the crypto community that they could achieve massive results by working together.&nbsp;&nbsp;

During his presidency, Donald Trump repeatedly expressed his dissatisfaction with cryptocurrencies. In 2019, the former president tweeted that unregulated digital assets could be led to unlawful acts such as drug trade. However, his stance has reportedly softened in the past year of his campaign.&nbsp; 
In May, Trump stated that his campaign would accept donations in <a href="https://www.kaspersky.com/resource-center/definitions/what-is-cryptocurrency" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">cryptocurrencies</a> in an effort to establish a crypto army. The former president also reportedly attended the conference in Nashville. At the conference, he vowed to make the USA a cryptocurrency capital and develop a Bitcoin reserve using the fiat the government holds. 
However, experts have raised concerns about ethical considerations that may arise after the presidential candidate launches the new project. Jordan Libowitz, the spokesperson for the government watchdog group, stated that since the presidential candidate could benefit directly from the project, it would raise ethical concerns.
