<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/">Hashrate</a> Index, a leading platform for tracking mining data, has announced plans to update its ASIC price index. The new update will add an additional performance tier for next-generation equipment, providing miners with better insights in the fast-evolving world of bitcoin mining. 
These changes are aimed at classifying ASIC miners into four efficiency tiers, starting with 19 J/TH and below. Such segmentation will allow Hashrate Index users to better assess the efficiency of new equipment and its relevance to current market conditions, where fine-tuning <a href="https://ultramining.com/hardware/">hardware</a> parameters is a critical factor for mining success. 
The update is expected by October 2024 and will mark an important milestone in cryptocurrency mining analytics.
