<p>Despite the fact that Buterin would donate the tokens, which would then be sold on the market, Starknet had a positive price reaction. Following Buterin’s move, Starknet rose 9%, up to $0.4262. This compounded the token’s upward momentum, which <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/starknet-token/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rose 19.33%</a> over the last 30 days.&nbsp;</p>
<p>While the sell-off is very likely, investors apparently believe that the publicity from Buterin’s move could offset the negative impact of the sale. The sale also brought to investor attention that Buterin is an early investor in Starknet, which is a scaling solution for Ethereum.</p>
<p>At the time of unlocking the tokens, Buterin held over 2.1 million STRK tokens. This made Starknet Buterin’s largest holding, after Ethereum.&nbsp;</p>
