<p><strong>The United States Department of Justice (DoJ) has begun to come down on Nvidia with an investigation into the company’s partnerships and contracts within the artificial intelligence (AI) market. </strong></p>
<p>Nvidia, which controls over 80% of the AI chip market, is undergoing investigations for potential antitrust concerns. According to sources, attorneys from the DOJ have already been in touch with the company, but no subpoenas have been issued at this point.</p>
<p>The DOJ investigation comes as companies are cashing in on the rapidly rising AI industry, with Nvidia in the lead. Other measures include filing a formal request for internal documents. This is permissible if the DOJ deems such action necessary because these investigations are still in the early stages.</p>

A law professor at the University of Chicago, Randal Picker, explained that companies are allowed to gain and possess market power, but how they exercise it is the main point of concern.</p>
