We regret to inform our community that during our recent token pre-sale, an exploit occurred, resulting in the loss of 16.4 million BFM tokens. This event has been a serious setback, and we are working around the clock to resolve the issue and recover the stolen tokens.The pre-sale was launched with overwhelming success, with more than 2,000 users purchasing tokens within the first hour. However, the high demand, combined with over 3,000 additional users attempting to participate, created significant congestion in transaction processing. The pre-sale was designed to offer tokens at a discount with a vesting period, and it used a third-party payment gateway integrated with our smart contract for fiat transactions.Unfortunately, due to the surge in transactions, our smart contract faced delays in confirming fiat payments off-chain, causing a backlog of pending transactions. During this time, malicious actors took advantage of a vulnerability, allowing them to perform false transactions that the smart contract could not properly verify. As a result, 16.4 million BFM tokens were stolen and deposited on the Coinstore exchange, severely impacting the liquidity of BFM.Our Response and Next StepsAt BenefitMine, the security and trust of our community are our highest priorities.
