Feixiaohao, China’s leading cryptocurrency market data and industry news platform, is reportedly under investigation by local authorities. Founded in 2017, the platform has become an important player in the Chinese crypto space, often referred to as the Chinese equivalent of CoinGecko.
Despite China’s strict crackdown on cryptocurrency activities by 2021, Fexiaohao has remained active, acting as a source of vital crypto market information for Chinese users. On August 28, Chinese cryptocurrency journalist Colin Wu reported that several top officials from Fexiaohao had been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation in Inner Mongolia, an autonomous region in northern China.&nbsp;

Wu shared this information through his channel, Wu Blockchain News, citing a report from a local WeChat channel focused on crypto. Inner Mongolia Police detained several key members of the Fexiaohao movement, the <a href="https://mp.weixin.qq.com/s/37FLpw-PIK7c1__prjlo1Q" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">report</a> said. The reason for the investigation remains unclear. According to Wu’s sources, the investigation has been ongoing for more than six months.
