<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The most expensive CryptoPunk ever sold for $23.7 million in 2022 was transferred on August 19 for an undisclosed amount. Former owner Deepak Thapliyal posted a farewell message on X as the NFT was sent to a new untagged address.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify"><strong>Thapliyal</strong> did not disclose the sale price of the NFT, but community members speculated it was sold at a loss. With an alien CryptoPunk selling for only $13.36 million in the market, one community member believes the previously most expensive NFT sold for approximately the same price.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="donald-trump-s-earnings-shocked">Donald Trump’s Earnings Shocked</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Former U.S. President <strong>Donald Trump</strong> announced he earned over $7 million from his NFT collections and held up to $5 million in <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/andrew-kang-shares-insights-on-bitcoin-price-drop/" data-wpel-link="internal">cryptocurrency</a>. In a personal financial disclosure obtained by Citizens for Ethics, Trump revealed his Ethereum-based crypto assets were between $1 million and $5 million.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Trump also added that he earned over $7.15 million from NFT collections, including Mugshot NFTs and two other trading card collections. Trump is attracting <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="exclude">investors</a>‘ interest by including the crypto space in the upcoming presidential elections this November.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Fine arts auction house <strong>Sotheby’s</strong> held a digital auction featuring Beeple and CryptoPunk NFTs. The online event started on August 15 and ended on August 22. The auction aimed to bring together top-quality works and appeal to different collectors.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">However, the CryptoPunk at the auction did not achieve the desired results. Although the fine arts broker valued the piece between $70,000 and $100,000, at the time of writing, there were only two bids under $50,000 for the piece.</p>
