This new feature allows users to easily obtain a small amount of Xelis to test wallets, onboard new users, and explore the Xelis ecosystem without the need to purchase tokens upfront. The faucet is designed to make it easier for new users to get started and for developers to test their applications. Below is a summary of the work completed:Xelis VM/Smart Contracts Update Summary:Environment Rework: The standard environment (std) has been reworked to improve the overall structure and efficiency.Parser Updates: Lifetimes have been introduced throughout the parser to enhance memory management.Mapping Enhancements: A new type K was added to the mapper for better type handling.Lexer Improvements: The lexer now uses a token result structure, likely improving how tokens are processed.Conditional Statements: Significant rework of conditional statements to optimize their performance and reliability.Interpreter Enhancements:Scope Management: Improved context handling with a clear_last_scope function.Loop Fixes: Fixed a bug related to register values within loops and improved loop increment handling.Overflow Checks: Removed unnecessary overflow checks for better performance.U128 Testing: Added tests for 128-bit unsigned integers and fixed related operations.String Operations: More tests and fixes were added for string concatenation, particularly with integers.HashMap Usage: Replaced standard HashMap with NoHashMap across the codebase for better performance.Bug Fixes: Various fixes, including handling of negative assignments, unexpected mapped variable IDs, and typecasting bugs.Benchmarks: Added and fixed benchmarking tools to ensure consistent performance monitoring.Function Signatures: Updated function signatures to reflect recent changes and optimizations.Miscellaneous Fixes: Addressed a variety of smaller issues, including typos and missing functions.Parser Simplifications: Simplified the parser for more efficient processing.Import Implementations: Began implementing the import feature, allowing code modularity and reuse.Windows New Line Support: Updated the lexer to support Windows-style newline characters, enhancing cross-platform compatibility.Operator Simplification: Simplified the handling of operators within the interpreter for cleaner execution logic.Interpreter Efficiency: Prevented double searches in context within the interpreter to improve performance.Testing Enhancements: Added more tests, particularly for U32 operations, function calls, and type casting, to ensure robustness.Type Support and Renaming: Introduced support for U32 operations and renamed types to more standard formats (U8, U16, U64).Function Signature Updates: Function signatures now account for parameter types, improving the accuracy of function calls.Optional Types and Comments: Added support for optional types and included comments to improve code readability.Function Calls and Types: Improved the handling of function calls using various types, allowing more flexibility in code execution.Web Wallet Compatibility for iOS and MacOSWe are pleased to announce that the Xelis development team has successfully resolved the issue that was preventing the Xelis web wallet from functioning on iOS and macOS devices. This fix ensures that users on these platforms can now seamlessly access and manage their Xelis assets through the web wallet.Other Development Work in ProgressIn addition to the above, several other projects are in the pipeline.
