<p>Network3, the DePIN-Edge AI protocol, successfully sold out its first batch of physical mining devices, N3 Edge V1, within an hour after launch. The sale went live on August 20 at 10 am PST and was met with an extremely high demand from users.</p><p>Network3’s head of ecosystem, Leanid Palkhouski,  announced the presale of N3 Edge during the recently concluded Stanford Blockchain Week in New York. At the DePIN Summit conference hosted by EV3, Network3 revealed the launch plans in a panel discussion with IoTeX’s founder.</p><p>The Pre-sale event of Network3’s ‘N3 Edge V1’  mining devices follows the project’s recent $5.5 million seed funding round in July, 2024.</p><h2 id="header-0">N3 Edge V1: The Mining Device For Everyone</h2><p>N3 Edge V1 is a dual mining machine that can mine Network3’s native token and IoTeX tokens. The physical mining machine enables users to boost their Network3 rewards by mining two types of tokens.</p><p>These devices integrate IoTeX’s infrastructure like the decentralized W3bstream and ioID to provide device  identity and DePIN verification, leveraging IoTeX’s advanced ZK and off chain computing technology with its modularity tech stack .</p><p>The N3 Edge is more powerful than other personal devices that people use for mining tokens. Additionally, it is lightweight and has high processing power, helping users to efficiently and seamlessly mint two tokens.</p><p>Most importantly, N3 Edge is very easy to set up. Users have to connect to a power source, connect the device to the internet, login, and start mining.</p><h2 id="header-1">Empowering User-Led Tech Innovations With N3 Edge V1</h2><p>Network3 facilitates a shift from traditional mining’s energy-intensive and specialized hardware toward sharing computational power, data, and network bandwidth from IoT devices. The N3 Edge V1 intends to democratize the crypto-mining landscape by providing users with the tools to mine tokens through simple devices.</p><p>Physical mining devices like N3 Edge incentivize participation in mining from general users with a smartphone or computer to receive financial rewards. The mining process involves three types of action from users.</p><p>Users can share internet bandwidth and allocate it for executing network activities. They can provide a device’s computational or processing power to support operations. Users can also contribute data from their devices to bolster data privacy and security while training AI models.</p><h2 id="header-2">Creating An Equitable Digital Economy With Network3</h2><p>Network3 brings together DePIN and Edge AI to provide an innovative and lucrative mechanism for training AI models. The protocol challenges centralized data processing by leveraging devices at the network’s edge to reduce latency and enhance scalability.</p><p>DePIN and Edge AI work together to make local data available for processing on edge devices or IoT products.
