In the constantly evolving world of cryptocurrencies, memecoins have carved out a special place. Today, we are pleased to interview Zdeadex, the creator of the memecoin $HUAHUA. Through this series of questions, we will discover the history, functioning, and future of this unique project.

 <li>How did the idea of creating a memecoin project come about? Could you tell us the story of the project, how Chihuahua was born? Is it a joke like the famous Dogecoin?</li>

Each ecosystem has its own memecoin, it’s a bit like having a mascot for its club! At the end of 2021, as the first Cosmos chains were starting to launch, we were discussing in Discord channels who would create the first meme token under Juno (CW-20, the ERC-20 version using CosmWasm smart contracts). Two members were particularly motivated, and I proposed to create a meme chain to demonstrate the ease of use of the Cosmos SDK. Two weeks later, we launched the chain with a few validators, directly on the mainnet. Three months later, the chain was valued at $1.1 billion. The fall of Terra and UST then impacted the entire ecosystem.

 <li>Huahua through the Chihuahua project features the image of the dog. Like its predecessors Dogecoin or Shiba Inu, is the dog figure the most interesting for memecoins? Why did you choose the dog for Huahua?</li>

I think it is mainly a simple and easily relatable reference. Many people have Shibas or Chihuahuas. Having numerous references, memes, gifs, and a culture that can be easily applied is important for building a community. Humans have a need for belonging, and cute and funny animals known on the internet facilitate this connection.

 <li>How can we concretely explain the concept of its use to our readers? How does today’s memecoin help ecosystems to develop?</li>
</ol>
Memecoins are a marketing way to take each project out of its overly technical side. Cryptocurrencies are mainly developed by engineers for other engineers. A dog figure symbolizing all this makes the concept much more accessible. This is what we are trying to do with Chihuahua for Cosmos.

Something simple, funny, endearing, and that makes no promises.

 <li>How would you describe the community momentum developing around a memecoin? And, most importantly, can you explain the reasons for this momentum?</li>

For the community, the main interest is financial. They find this memecoin funny before others and want to share it, thinking that others will gather around the same interest. It is also to increase their own investment, as they say in the industry.

 <li>How do you see the future for the Chihuahua memecoin? Do you already know where the community wants to head in the coming years?</li>

There are very good ideas coming up, between the metaverse, gaming, universal swap, and the launchpad for social animals (creating the web3 identity of your pet known on Instagram/TikTok). We think it is a niche market but very important for developing new opportunities for pet owners. By highlighting this and enabling better monetization, we could share these new riches for all animal causes and advance non-financial areas that need it.
