Elon Musk and Donald Trump went on for two hours in a Twitter interview, and guess what? Not a single word about Bitcoin or crypto.&nbsp; 
The guy who loves talking about anything and everything didn’t mention the one thing the crypto community was betting on. This interview, hyped up like it was going to break the internet, somehow managed to dodge crypto entirely.&nbsp; 
And trust me, people noticed.&nbsp; 
You had folks on Polymarket betting big—over $600,000—thinking crypto would come up. But instead, the talk was all about immigration, the economy, AI, and global warming. 
But let’s not forget the chaos that almost kept this interview from happening. The thing didn’t even start on time. Elon <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1823152153445404990" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">blamed</a> it on a “massive DDoS attack” on X.&nbsp; 
People were locked out, unable to join the livestream, and the platform was glitching like crazy.

So there we were, waiting for more than 30 minutes, wondering if this interview (which Elon vehemently insists on calling a “chat”) was going to happen at all.&nbsp; 
When things finally kicked off, the numbers were insane—1.3 million people tuned in at one point. Trump started the interview with the story of his assassination attempt in Butler.&nbsp; 
No one saw that coming as the opening topic, but Trump went on about it for a good half-hour, focusing on how he heroically dodged death for democracy.&nbsp; 
From there, it was the usual Trump show. He talked about his “buddies” Vlad Putin and Kim Jong Un, threw in some worries about nuclear power, and took a few jabs at NATO.&nbsp;

It was vintage Trump, the kind of stuff you’ve heard him talk about a million times. If you expected something new or different, you were out of luck.&nbsp; 
The conversation kept rolling with Trump spitting out the same old claims about immigration and crime.&nbsp; 
Nothing shocking, nothing new.&nbsp; 
Even his attacks on Biden were recycled, mentioning him by name 24 times in the interview. Kamala Harris, who’s now clearly in the running for 2024, was mentioned a lot less. 
<h3 id="b-the-crypto-community-had-high-hopes-b">The crypto community had high hopes</h3> 
With all the hype around this interview, you’d think something unexpected would happen. But no, it was Trump sticking to the script.&nbsp; 
The Polymarket bettors were pretty confident—65% sure that “crypto” would come up. The odds were even higher for “Bitcoin,” at 69%.&nbsp; 
But in the end, Elon and Trump kept it old school, not touching the future of money or blockchain tech at all.

What does it mean that Trump didn’t talk about crypto? Who knows? Maybe he’s saving it for later, or maybe he actually just doesn’t care, you guys.&nbsp; 
But with $330,000 staked on Bitcoin being mentioned, you have to wonder what was going through his head. And Elon has been making weird moves to distance himself from crypto recently. 
When the dust settled, we got a two-hour reminder that Trump is Trump.
