Besides Bitcoin&#39;s massive surge from 20k to a new ATH, the last months were heavily dominated by meme coins. Certainly, we had Binance Coin (BNB) or Solana (SOL), which performed well. However, except for a few tokens, it was all about meme season.As a trader, I find meme coins work exceptionally well, especially on lower timeframes. Nevertheless, when it comes to investing, I definitely prefer tokens and projects with real-world use cases. I also search for projects that create value, solve a problem, and are profitable above all of that.<h3 id="aave-39-s-2-1m-daily-revenue">AAVE&#39;s 2.1m Daily Revenue</h3>Just a couple of days ago, I posted a chart analysis about AAVE highlighting the crucial levels and that the token has been doing quite well compared to many other altcoins. However, AAVE is also one of the projects that matches my above-mentioned criteria.Let me give you an example:During the latest market crash, Aave recorded an impressive $2.1 million in daily revenue. Loan liquidations mainly drove this surge. So even when the entire crypto market experienced a massive downturn, Aave business model allowed them to generate substantial revenue through liquidation fees.As a result, the Aave Treasury alone was rewarded with $6 million in revenue from decentralized liquidations, showing how the platform not only withstands market volatility but thrives in it. This kind of business model sets Aave apart from many other projects that rely on a) speculation or b) business models that are not working.<h3 id="aave-39-s-future-looks-even-more-promising">AAVE&#39;s Future Looks Even More Promising</h3>The Aave DAO recently conducted a governance proposal to return protocol revenue to AAVE token holders, with potential implementation by the end of 2024. This move could further enhance the value proposition for AAVE holders, providing them with a tangible return on their investment—a feature that many speculative tokens don’t offer.While meme coins can be fun and offer quick trading opportunities, they often lack the fundamental value that comes from real use cases.Aave, on the other hand, has repeatedly proven its utility, not only surviving market downturns but also profiting from them.This is why I remain bullish on AAVE and similar tokens with strong use cases.
