<p style="text-align: justify">Brazil’s Securities and Exchange Commission (<strong>CVM</strong>) has approved a Solana-based exchange-traded fund (ETF). This is not only a first in Brazil but also one of the limited Solana-based investment products globally. The product is expected to be traded following approval by the Brazilian stock exchange B3.</p> 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="a-new-era-in-the-brazilian-market">A New Era in the Brazilian Market</h2> 
<p style="text-align: justify">The Solana-based ETF will be offered to investors as a first in <strong>Brazil</strong>. According to the CVM database, which indicates that the product is in the pre-operational stage, the ETF must undergo certain approval processes before being listed on B3. This product is designed to track the CME CF Solana Dollar Reference Rate.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Brazil’s asset manager QR Asset will offer the Solana-based ETF to investors. The local fintech company Vortx will manage this fund. QR Asset’s manager Theodoro Fleury stated, “This ETF reinforces our commitment to providing quality and diversity to Brazilian investors. We are proud to be among the global pioneers in this segment.”</p> 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="brazil-s-crypto-etf-history">Brazil’s Crypto ETF History</h2> 
<p style="text-align: justify">Brazil has previously taken significant steps regarding <strong>crypto</strong>-based ETFs. Between 2021 and 2022, B3 listed Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs. In March 2024, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) was launched. These developments have made Brazil an important market for regulated crypto-based investment products.</p> 
<p style="text-align: justify">In July, Cboe officially applied to the SEC for permission to offer a Solana-based ETF from VanEck and 21Shares. However, this application has not yet been approved. These innovative steps in Brazil could increase global market competition and serve as an example for other countries.</p>
