According to data from <a href="https://www.okx.com/web3/marketplace/runes" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">OKX</a>, the Runes market rallied in the past 24 hours following the stock exchange decline worldwide and the turbulence that the crypto market saw as well. 
Ordinals developer Leonidas has re-posted via his X account, Ord.io’s announcement, stating that the Ordinals and Runes Protocols have been just upgraded from alpha to beta a few hours ago.

Leonidas also shared his gratitude via a message on X to Bitcoin developer and the mastermind behind Runes, Casey Rodarmor, and Ordinal theorist, known as Raph. 
DOG also announced on X today that it reached 20,000 followers. The messages sends gratitude to the amazing community that supported the project.

<h2 id="what-is-dog-runes">What is DOG (Runes)?</h2> 
DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON is a rune that was etched and minted on top of Bitcoin via the Runes Protocol. Similar to other <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/education/bitcoin-runes-protocol/">Runes</a> tokens, DOG is a fungible crypto asset. 
Its goal is to overtake DOGE’s market cap, according to Leonidas, its creator. 
It was launched on April 2024 as part of a volunteer-organized airdrop to the Bitcoin Ordinals community with no team allocation or presale. 
DOG has the mission to go to the moon and onboard millions to Bitcoin.
