Crypto lending has seen remarkable growth in the first half of 2024, with Ledn, a key player in the industry, processing over $1.16 billion in digital asset loans. Institutional clients were the main contributors to Ledn’s loan volume, accounting for $969 million of the $1.16 billion total. With the decline of other crypto lenders, Ledn now estimates it handles over 50% of retail loan originations in the market. According to Ledn CEO Adam Reeds, the increase in retail loans signifies the ongoing maturation of the crypto sector, positioning it as a viable alternative to conventional banking and finance.
