Former U.S. President Donald Trump made headlines again by promoting a new line of limited-edition Bitcoin-themed sneakers. After speaking at the Bitcoin 2024 Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Trump took to&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/112881568598723413" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Truth Social</a> to announce the launch of these unique sneakers.&nbsp;

The Trump Crypto President High Tops – Bitcoin Orange version – were priced at $499 and featured a bold Bitcoin symbol. With only 1,000 pairs available, each individually numbered and five of them randomly autographed, the sneakers sold out within just three hours.&nbsp;

There is also a black variation available, priced at $299, with 15 autographed pairs. Additionally, there’s a low-top version of the orange sneakers, priced at $299, with four autographed pairs.

The former US president encouraged buyers to purchase the sneakers with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies.

Just hours after the sneaker line launched, the Trump Crypto President High Tops - Bitcoin Orange version of the sneakers sold out.&nbsp;

It didn’t take long for the limited-edition sneakers to appear on&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&amp;_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&amp;_nkw=donald+trump+bitcoin+shoes&amp;_sacat=0&amp;Brand=&amp;_odkw=donald+trump+shoes&amp;_dcat=15709" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">eBay</a>. Scalpers are already listing the Bitcoin Orange high-tops, with prices starting at $700 and reaching up to $2,500.&nbsp;

Some sellers even set humorous prices, like $69,999, though the legitimacy of these listings remains uncertain. Most sellers promise to ship the sneakers between September and November, once they receive their pre-ordered pairs.&nbsp;

While many sellers have high ratings, some have been flagged as potential scams in buyer feedback.
<h2 dir="ltr" id="span-span-trump-s-crypto-vision-span-span">Trump’s Crypto Vision</h2>
At the Bitcoin 2024 Conference, Trump&nbsp;<a style="text-decoration:none" href="https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-stockpile-6f1314f5e99bbf47cc3ee6fc6178588d" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">proposed</a> creating a “strategic Bitcoin reserve” and halting the sale of government-held Bitcoin if re-elected.&nbsp;

Trump’s goal is to make the U.S. a “crypto capital of the world” and a “Bitcoin superpower.” He has pledged to prevent the introduction of a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and emphasized the importance of personal financial control.&nbsp;

Additionally, the US presidential candidate announced the formation of a Presidential Crypto Advisory Council and invited conference attendees to join.

Trump highlighted the potential economic benefits of Bitcoin mining and production, advocating for these activities to take place within the U.S. He believes this could create domestic jobs and keep the industry thriving on American soil.

According to Bitcoin Magazine’s David Bailey, Trump raised $25 million at the event, which included a high-profile fundraising dinner with ticket prices as high as $844,600.
