<p class="is-style-lead">Trump recently announced the release of limited edition, Bitcoin-themed sneakers after his pro-crypto speech at Bitcoin 2024.</p> 
<p>Make shoes great again? Republican presidential candidate <a href="https://crypto.news/tag/Donald-Trump/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/tag/Donald-Trump/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Donald Trump</a> is riding his crypto momentum from Bitcoin 2024 and posted about his new limited-edition Bitcoin (<a href="https://crypto.news/price/bitcoin/" data-type="link" data-id="https://crypto.news/price/bitcoin/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">BTC</a>) themed sneakers.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>“Just spoke at the Bitcoin Conference in Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday,” Trump <a href="https://x.com/TruthTrumpPosts/status/1818657235196592163" target="_blank" rel="">said</a> on Truth Social. “Get your Bitcoin Sneakers now. These are Limited Edition, they are each numbered, and you can now pay with Bitcoin or your favorite Crypto.”</p>

<p>The shoes are high-top sneakers in ‘Bitcoin Orange’ and are priced at $499. They are limited, with only 1,000 pairs available, each numbered, and five of them randomly autographed by Trump.</p> 
<p>The shoes were made “commemorating the first time a United States President appeared at the Bitcoin Conference.” They will be shipped anytime from September to November of this year.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>There are also 1,000 other similar-styled shoes for sale in black for $299 a pair.</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="trump-s-crypto-embrace">Trump’s crypto embrace&nbsp;</h2> 
<p>The former president embraced crypto this election cycle and has outlined his plans to transform U.S. crypto policies if elected. He <a href="https://crypto.news/goodbye-gary-donald-trump-vows-to-fire-sec-chief-if-elected/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">vowed</a> to dismiss SEC Chair Gary Gensler and prevent the U.S. from liquidating its Bitcoin holdings, <a href="https://crypto.news/trumps-bitcoin-speech-sparks-2-6m-polymarket-dispute/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">proposing</a> instead the creation of a “strategic Bitcoin reserve.”&nbsp;</p> 
<p>Trump also promised to <a href="https://crypto.news/us-govt-moves-2b-worth-of-bitcoin-after-trumps-no-sell-speech/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">convert</a> all seized Silk Road BTC into the reserve and advocated for the U.S. never to sell their BTC.&nbsp;</p> 
<p>This move is yet another pander to crypto advocates by Trump, who has also <a href="https://crypto.news/trump-campaign-raises-over-4m-in-crypto/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">accepted</a> political donations in crypto and previously launched NFT collections.</p>
