Former President Donald Trump is set to launch a fourth NFT collection, as revealed in a comprehensive interview with Bloomberg Businessweek published on Tuesday. Trump mentioned that his previous collections were overwhelmingly successful, selling out quickly: “The whole thing sold out: 45,000 of the cards. And I did it three times [and] I’m going to do another one, because the people want me to do another one. It’s unbelievable spirit. Beautiful.” 
Trump had hinted at this fourth collection during a gala for his mugshot NFT holders at Mar-a-Lago in May but was initially non-committal, stating, “I believe in supply and demand. And as you know, one did great, two did great, three did great. At some point maybe that turns around.” 
As the crypto industry rallies behind his reelection campaign, Trump appears to be increasingly comfortable with NFTs and cryptocurrencies. In May, his campaign began accepting crypto donations. According to a recent Wall Street Journal report citing Federal Election Commission (FEC) data, approximately $3 million of the $331 million raised by Trump’s campaign last quarter came from crypto contributions. 
In a significant move, Trump announced pro-Bitcoin Senator J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate. Prominent figures in the crypto industry, such as Kraken co-founder Jesse Powell and Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, have made substantial donations to Trump’s reelection campaign and related super PACs, including the new Trump-focused America PAC and pro-crypto Fairshake. 
Discussing his evolving stance on crypto, Trump told Bloomberg Businessweek, “It’s not going away. It’s amazing.” He noted that he has “gotten to know a lot of people from the crypto industry at his fundraisers, calling them top-flight people.” 
Once a vocal critic of cryptocurrency, Trump has now embraced the industry, warning, “If we don’t do it, China is going to pick it up and China’s going to have it – or somebody else, but most likely China. China’s very much into it.” He added, “We have a good foundation. It’s a baby. It’s an infant right now. But I don’t want to be responsible for allowing another country to take over this sphere.”
