<p>The first half of 2024 is through and it’s time to have a look at some of the highlights from the Myria ecosystem! Let’s take a look at some of the latest developments within the Myria ecosystem.</p><h2 id="header-0">Game Updates</h2><h3 id="metarush">Metarush</h3><p>The Metarush developers continue to work towards the official beta! At the start of May, we made the big announcement that <a href="https://twitter.com/PlayMetarush/status/1787477299052576858" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Metarush will be coming to the Epic Games Store</a>!</p><p>If you haven’t wishlisted Metarush, now’s the second-best time to do it!</p><p><strong><a href="https://medium.com/&#64;metarush" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Follow Metarush on Medium</a></strong></p><p>Later in May, we saw <a href="https://twitter.com/PlayMetarush/status/1791442032612856123" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the final Metarush Alpha playtest</a>, giving community members a chance to participate in this exclusive event and vibe with the team!</p><p>Each session awarded winners with a total of $500 in MYRIA tokens.</p><p>In the quarter the Metarush team introduced a new weekly Twitter Spaces AMA series taking place every Wednesday! In this new format, members of the Metarush team and some of your favorite crypto thought leaders discuss the hottest topics in Web3 gaming. With the Myria Nodes Learn &amp; Earn campaign, community members had the chance to simultaneously learn more about the role of Myria Nodes and win a Myria Node license.</p><p>Participants had to read more about Myria Nodes, answer questions, and complete tasks for a chance to be among the winners! A total of three Myria Node licenses were awarded to the participants with the most points on the Zealy leaderboard.</p><h2 id="header-4">SDK &amp; Tools</h2><p>Over the past quarter, the Myria team continued to expand on our existing SDK &amp; Tools. With native ERC-20 token support via the Myria SDKs, developers can take advantage of Myria’s high speed and high volume layer 2 network. By registering and whitelisting an ERC-20 token on the Myria L2, a developer can take advantage of their token being able to be:</p><ul><li>Deposited into Myria’s L2</li><li>Transferred with 0 gas fees between wallets on the Myria L2</li><li>Withdrawn directly to the Ethereum Layer 1</li></ul><h3 id="optimized-onboarding">Optimized Onboarding</h3><p>One of the big hurdles in Web3 continues to be user onboarding. In most cases, to take an active part in any project, new users have to step into unknown waters and create a crypto wallet. The Myria team focused on improving that over the past few months and starting this July, <a href="https://medium.com/&#64;myriagames/enhancing-myria-node-referrals-improvements-and-login-optimization-fe42d7734700" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">the login process on Myria will be optimized</a> to allow users to register with just an email. This will make registrations seamless and eliminate the need for a crypto wallet at the initial registration stage. This update won’t impact Myria’s current registration and sign-in system but it will open up possibilities for developers on Myria’s L2 to simplify their onboarding flows.</p><p>If you’re an existing user, worry not, your blockchain assets on Myria’s Layer 2 will still be securely connected to your MetaMask wallet and can only be accessed via a MetaMask signature.</p><h2 id="header-5">Node Updates</h2><h3 id="node-referral-improvements">Node Referral Improvements</h3><p>The Myria Node referral program has been extremely successful with 30% of all Nodes sold at public sale coming via referral codes. We’ve made changes to the Node sale page that improve the way referral codes are handled.
