<p>Unlike many blockchain projects that utilize a testnet phase, <a href="https://es-es.worldcoin.org/world-chain" target="_blank" rel="noopener">World Chain</a> is skipping this step. This allows developers to deploy infrastructure directly on a “gated mainnet.” Remco Bloemen, head of protocol at the Worldcoin Foundation, explained that this approach is possible because the underlying technology has already undergone extensive testing on the <a href="https://docs.optimism.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">OP Stack</a>.</p> 
<p>The OP Stack is an open-source development framework maintained by the Optimism Collective. It serves as a public resource for both the Ethereum and Optimism ecosystems. “OP Stack has seen plenty of testing already — we know it works,” Bloemen said.</p>

<p>Developers interested in accessing the World Chain developer preview can apply through <a href="https://github.com/worldcoin/developer-portal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Worldcoin’s Developer Tools</a>. This preview phase offers a unique opportunity for developers to engage with the World Chain infrastructure. Also, to begin creating applications that leverage Worldcoin’s digital identity protocol, World ID, ahead of the broader public release.</p>
