Ardoino highlighted the capability of modern devices to fine-tune large language models (LLMs) using personal data. He stressed that this approach would allow users to benefit from AI advancements while keeping their data private.
He concluded his post with “WIP,” indicating that Tether’s exploration of integrating locally executable AI models into their solutions is a work in progress.&nbsp;
These comments from Ardoino follow<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://tether.io/news/tether-expands-ai-focus-welcomes-top-talent-to-fuel-innovation/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> Tether’s recent efforts to incorporate localized AI into its offerings</a>. In March 2024, the USDT stablecoin issuer announced a new AI initiative that will develop open-source, multimodal AI models and integrate AI solutions into practical products. The company claimed that the initiative would reinforce its role as a tech innovator and enhance AI accessibility and efficiency while promoting transparency and privacy in AI development.

Announced by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) at the IoT West Africa Conference in Lagos, these centres will also focus on uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs), additive manufacturing, and robotics.
