 <li>In a new development, Worldcoin has revealed the beneficiaries of its Wave 1 Community Grants.</li>

Following the success of the initial Wave 0, which took place late last year with a headstart of $5 million in funding across three grant tracks, <a href="https://worldcoin.org/blog/announcements/meet-worldcoin-wave1-community-grants-recipients#axiom" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wave 1 grants</a> have been awarded to 17 projects in&nbsp;many areas, including novel governance mechanisms, Secure Multi-party Computation (SMPC), and improved developer experiences. The aforementioned projects are expected to improve the Worldcoin ecosystem.

It is worth noting that&nbsp; Wave 0 gave grants to projects focused on looking into research and development efforts, such as the Intersection of privacy and biometrics. 
Narrowing down on the Worldcoin Tech Tree, it’s easier to say that it’s a technological roadmap for achieving Worldcoin’s goals.&nbsp; Wave 1 targets various sections of this road map, spreading its wings of innovation across the board.&nbsp; 
<h2 id="wave-one-grantees">Wave One Grantees</h2> 
<ol> 
 <li>Axiom: This recipient is tackling infrastructure challenges. Axiom’s project focuses on building a universal verifier circuit to streamline WorldID-proof verification, aiming to reduce costs associated with Worldcoin’s on-chain infrastructure.</li> 
 <li> Farcaster Humanizer: This beneficiary tackles the issue of bot-infested online spaces by providing an identity verification layer for Farcaster applications, ensuring users interact with real people.</li> 
 <li>Fuzzing Labs: This project focuses on enhancing the security of biometric data through improved OP-TEE security protocols.</li> 
 <li> Only Dust: Acting as a bridge between developers and active Worldcoin projects, Only Dust facilitates their integration with WorldID. In support of a strong developer base, Wave 1 has included projects dedicated to attracting and educating new developers.</li> 
</ol> 
Encode Club has taken a different route with a similar target of fostering a new generation of developers within the ecosystem. This has been made possible through an 8-week training series featuring live workshops and YouTube content. 
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;5.TACEO: This apprehended Wave 0 grantee has made significant strides in making sure biometric data is protected. TACEO is behind the secure deletion of Worldcoin’s previous iris code system. Notably, TACEO is one of the grantees from Wave 0 but Wave 1’s indistinct nature is still going to support this innovative project. 
As<a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/worldcoin-stance-iris-info-is-protected-not-sold/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> earlier reported </a>on Crypto News Flash, Noah Kim stated that after using the Orb gadget to scan iris for identity, they create an encrypted code and delete the rest of the data immediately. 
With continued support from Wave 1, TACEO will focus on developing new iterations of Secure Multiparty Computation(SMPC)technology, debunking myths about Worldcoin’s data procedure, and delivering even stronger privacy measures for Worldcoin users. 
Other Wave 1 grantees, including <a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/worldcoin-foundation-funds-wormhole-to-bring-world-id-to-solana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wormhole</a>, zkSnap, Herodotus, Worldpoll, Coometh, Agora, and BBB &amp;company, come in handy with a set of solutions. 
Also worth noting, in a tweet, Collin Brown orated about Wormhole’s integration of World ID from Worldcoin into Solana, enhancing blockchain identity verification. 
In summary, the revelation of wave 1 grantees marks a&nbsp;<a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/worldcoin-boosts-team-with-former-apple-google-execs-for-expansion/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pivotal juncture</a> not only for the Worldcoin Tech tree but also for raising WLD’s price. At the time of writing, Worldcoin is changing hands at $1.86,&nbsp;representing a 20.88% decline in the last 24 hours.
