<p>Hello everyone! Last Friday, our CEO Adrian Krion had a heart-to-heart with some of our larger $WOMBAT stakers about the future direction of the company. It was a tough but necessary discussion that we are happy to continue today during the <a href="https://www.twitch.tv/wombatgamers" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Tavern stream</a>.</p><p>As a follow-up to that conversation, we have summarized some of the critical questions and topics that you can read below.</p><h2 id="header-0">What can $WOMBAT holders or stakers expect from the upcoming changes?</h2><p>A big shift here is in the fact that the growth of the company and the growth of the token were not always aligned, even though the former took a lot of our attention and efforts. A major part of the change is aligning these notions better, so whenever we have something new going on, this translates into a direct impact on the token as well.</p><p>With the upcoming changes, we are revamping and designing things with $WOMBAT stakers and holders at the top of our minds — our interests are very aligned on this part. For instance, if there is to be a new token, $WOMBAT stakers will retain their stake in this new currency.</p><p>We would also like to give you more influence regarding VIP benefits for locking the tokens, and not just within Dungeon Master. We do have internal ideas, of course, but we’re looking forward to your feedback on what you think would make your status as a VIP more worthwhile.</p><h2 id="header-1">What is happening to the token price anyway?</h2><p>The sell pressure over the last few days is caused by the one-year $WOMBAT staking promo unlocks on Kucoin. To our knowledge, the latest subscriptions were set for June 26th and July 1st. With those, we expect the pressure to maintain today and then cease. This will also stop the average daily emissions of 70K $WOMBAT into circulation.</p><h2 id="header-2">Why were so many things not delivered? What’s with Atomic Wombat NFTs, Dungeon Worlds, etc.?</h2><p>The general answer to that could be summarized as ambitions, not enough time and/or manpower to execute them and the lack of communication on how they evolve and what this results in.</p><p>Our overall goal is, as always, to deliver things on par with the quality standard we set for ourselves. This may mean delays or initial releases that are limited versions of what we envision them to be. In the spirit of upcoming changes, we will approach further releases with the maximum possible transparency and update you on why delays occurred and, if possible, give you updated delivery windows.</p><p>The general direction is being more forthcoming about the inner workings of Spielworks — we would like to start with a litepaper in two weeks, followed by the full whitepaper doc and a roadmap shortly thereafter.</p><h2 id="header-3">Why didn’t you say all these things earlier?</h2><p>We wholeheartedly agree that we should have done a better job engaging with our users, token holders and community. A big part of that are the structural caveats in the way how our company works, and we are working hard to remove these internal constraints as well.</p><p>This also includes involving the token holders more in the processes. Practically, this entails improved feedback loops, more impactful governance mechanisms and so on. Within the new vision, empowering stakeholders is our top priority.</p><p>There are also some processes that need to go through several review rounds and be kept off the public discourse for compliance reasons.</p><h2 id="header-4">We need more people getting the tokens and better deflationary mechanisms. Is there anything being done in that respect?</h2><p>Our ongoing Immutable zkEVM rewards pool is part of that effort, to increase the share of holders among Web3 gamers and gaming NFT traders. That said, we understand that it may not be enough without the complimentary activities, especially if we’re releasing more tokens into circulation.</p><p>Two key directions there are:</p><ul><li>Modernized tokenomics. Right now, we have two main avenues for extracting tokens from circulation — Reverties and the AtomicHub trading fees. We continue collecting $WOMBAT through these, but we would like to have mechanisms in place to redistribute the tokens to holders or stakers actively contributing to value creation in the ecosystem. We feel like the burns might not have a huge impact on the circulating supply at this stage — that said, we have had accumulated burns for several months in the past. We will shortly update you on the course of action for June and May burns, but rest assured that these tokens are not circulating in the market at the moment.</li><li>Presence on centralized exchanges. We do not underestimate the importance of having more token exposure via top exchanges. That said, for compliance reasons, we are not at liberty to discuss these matters because this could easily undermine our efforts.</li></ul><p>We are right now exploring the short-term solutions as well. That being said, the new company narrative and the practical transformations it entails take a lot of our focus.
