Pro-Bitcoin Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump has declared himself the “Crypto President” as he looks to deepen his stance with the fast-growing ecosystem.

The 45th President of the United States Donald Trump was in San Francisco on Thursday for a fundraiser. While giving his speech, Trump trolled Democrats for trying to regulate the digital asset sector. In addition, he named himself the champion of cryptocurrency.
According to Trevor Traina, a San Francisco-based tech executive and former Trump ambassador to Austria,&nbsp; Donald Trump said “he would be the crypto president.”
Trump’s statement comes as he raised $12 million from the fundraiser hosted by tech venture capitalists David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya. In the last few months, Trump has remained at the forefront of crypto activities, boosting his way through in preparation of the November elections. He has seized his campaign as an opportunity to proclaim his <a href="https://coingape.com/donald-trump-to-support-bitcoin-price-rally-amid-regulatory-uncertainty/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">love for cryptocurrencies</a>.
Beyond saying he would support the new asset class, Trump recently announced that he started receiving <a href="https://coingape.com/breaking-pro-crypto-donald-trump-opens-campaign-for-bitcoin-and-crypto-donatio" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">donations for his campaign</a> in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Shiba Inu (SHIB) and others. So far, this makes him the first candidate in the upcoming elections that is receiving crypto donations and contributions.
Two weeks ago, the Republican openly vowed to <a href="https://coingape.com/breaking-us-presidential-candidate-donald-trump-vows-to-support-crypto-companies/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">support crypto companies</a> and the companies operating in the broader crypto ecosystem if he is re-elected as president.
He identified the huge efflux of businesses from the United States due to the strict regulatory framework prevalent in the region. Donald Trump described the nascent ecosystem as a “new and burgeoning industry.” This description resonates with many who believe that it shows a true understanding of the industry.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden who is Donald Trump’s main opponent in the November elections, challenged the Republican’s crypto stand by devising his own crypto outreach plan.
