Bit2Me, the leading digital asset company in the Spanish-speaking market, registered with the Bank of Spain and backed by Telefónica, BBVA, Investcorp, and Inveready, among others, has been selected by Mastercard to be part of the new Crypto Credential service, a new service for secure and verified international transactions between different cryptocurrency exchanges.Bit2Me becomes one of the first exchanges to complete the initial live peer-to-peer pilot transactions through Crypto Credential, which helps verify interactions between consumers and businesses using blockchain networks.For the first time, cryptocurrency users will be able to send and receive digital assets using their Mastercard Crypto Credential aliases, instead of the typically long and complex blockchain addresses. Additionally, users in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and Uruguay can send domestic and international transfers in multiple currencies and blockchains.Bit2Me has joined this innovative ecosystem as part of the companies&#39; shared commitment to promoting the adoption of digital assets and improving the user experience in cross-border transactions.According to Leif Ferreira, CEO and co-founder of Bit2Me: &#34;We are proud to continue deepening our partnership with Mastercard, with whom we share a commitment to innovation and the development of solutions that promote the usability of payment alternatives through the use of crypto assets.&#34;Additionally, Mastercard and Bit2Me have closed a strategic alliance that will allow users in Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Brazil to access the Bit2Me Card.With the Bit2Me Card, which can be obtained physically or virtually at no cost through the Bit2Me App, users can pay at over 90 million merchants worldwide that accept Mastercard, using any of the 15 available cryptocurrencies as a payment method, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT, among others.The service, available in Spain since 2023 with over 354,000 transactions carried out, also offers cashback for purchases made with the card. In 2023 alone, users were rewarded with more than 160,000 euros in cryptocurrencies. The service is now in the final development phase for Argentina and will be widely available in the coming months.
