B2C2, a prominent cryptocurrency market maker owned by Japan’s SBI Holdings, has opened a new office in Singapore. B2C2 expands in the Asia-Pacific region, calling it the growth phase. 
The Singapore office <a href="https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/b2c2-strengthens-asia-pacific-presence-with-new-singapore-office/]" target="_blank" rel="noopener">complements</a> B2C2’s existing locations in London, Paris, Luxembourg, New Jersey, and Tokyo. Thomas Restout, Group CEO of B2C2, stated, “As a leading financial center both in the region and globally, Singapore was a logical choice for the expansion of our APAC footprint.” 
B2C2 already has a strong foothold in Asia-Pacific due to its Japanese presence. In 2020, the company was acquired by SBI Holdings, following a million investment from the Japanese conglomerate. 
David Rogers, a financial industry veteran with 24 years of experience, will lead B2C2’s operations in the Asia-Pacific region from Singapore. Rogers used to work at State Street, Goldman Sachs, and UBS, before spending 17 years in the region. 
 B2C2 plans to apply for a Major Payment Institution (MPI) license in Singapore. It has also <a href="https://www.cryptotimes.io/2024/02/07/b2c2-secures-regulatory-approval-as-vasp-in-luxembourg/">recently been granted a virtual asset service</a> provider registration in Luxembourg, making it the 12th digital asset company in the country.
