The Open Campus price soared 30% in the last 24 hours <a href="https://www.geckoterminal.com/bsc/pools/0x6425bc30d0751af5181fc74a50e760b0e4a19811" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">to trade at $0.9607</a> as of 02:47 a.m. EST on trading volume that skyrocketed 231% to $148 million.
The impetus for the surge was news that Animoca Brands, a crypto venture capital firm, plans to buy more EDU tokens from the open market. Open Campus has since been on an uptrend, registering a 55% increase.

The support for the EDU foundation by Animoca Brands is significant because the crypto venture capital firm is also behind projects including The Sandbox, and Eden Games.
Before the announcement, EDU was trading within a consolidation channel, as the struggle for dominance intensified within the $0.58 and $0.44 range, data from <a href="https://www.geckoterminal.com/bsc/pools/0x6425bc30d0751af5181fc74a50e760b0e4a19811" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">GeckoTerminal</a> shows.
News of interest from Animoca Brands led to EDU breaching the upper boundary of the channel as it aims to sustain the bullish stance above.

The Open Campus price trades well above both the 50-day and 200-day Simple Moving Averages (SMAs), a confirmation of the bullish stance above.
Moreover, the reading on the Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicates that buyers have an upper hand, as the RSI soars above the 70-overbought region to trade at 97. This also shows continued investor optimism to buy more, which could sustain the current bullish momentum.
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is also bullish, as the MACD line (blue) crosses above the signal line (orange), forming a bullish crossover. A bullish crossover could encourage optimistic retail investors to buy more, further pushing EDU to new highs.
The green bars on the histogram also indicate that EDU is currently on a positive momentum.

However, the MACD and RSI show that the asset is overbought, which may likely prompt a price retrace back to the next support level around $0.65.
