Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has transferred 80 ETH, valued at approximately $300,000, to the privacy-focused protocol Railgun. This latest transfer by Buterin continues his six-month trend of similar transactions to Railgun, known for its coin-mixing features that boost user privacy and protect against harmful activities. 
Buterin’s consistent use of Railgun underscores his endorsement of its privacy pools protocol, which employs advanced zero-knowledge proof technology known as ZK SNARKs. This technology shields users’ wallet addresses during transactions, enhancing privacy on transparent blockchain networks.

He emphasized that Railgun’s technology makes it challenging for malicious parties to trace transactions without breaching user privacy. Despite comparisons to controversial mixing services like Tornado Cash, Railgun distinguishes itself as a dedicated privacy platform. 
This trend matches Ethereum’s strong market performance. According to the latest<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> data </a>from CoinMarketCap, ETH is trading at $3,690, a 2.5% increase in the past 24 hours and an increase of over 25% over the past week.
