<p>The Office of the <a href="https://www.pcpd.org.hk/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD)</a> in Hong Kong has recently taken strong action against Worldcoin, a digital currency project. This action comes after a thorough three-month investigation into the operations of Worldcoin.</p>
<p>An investigation was launched on January 31 to examine how Worldcoin managed sensitive personal information, specifically <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/worldcoin-erases-past-iris-codes-unveils-advanced-biometric-system/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">face and iris images</a> obtained from more than 8,300 individuals.</p>
