<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">A former employee of the <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/crypto-market-welcomes-new-memecoin-amidst-downturn/" data-wpel-link="internal">memecoin</a> creation and trading platform <strong>Pump.fun</strong>, which allegedly carried out a $1.9 million attack, claims he was arrested, charged, and is currently out on bail in the UK. On May 16, X user STACCoverflow, who revealed and confirmed his name as Jarett Dunn, took responsibility for the attack, which allegedly accessed withdrawal privileges using a privileged position and compromised the protocol’s systems.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="what-is-happening-in-the-pump-fun-case">What is Happening in the Pump.fun Case?</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">In a series of posts on a different X account dated May 18, Dunn revealed that he spent the night in custody after the Pump team accused him of stealing $2 million and conspiring to steal $80 million more, and that he was released on bail.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify"><strong>Dunn</strong> also added that he is currently being held in a hospital and is sharing updates from an iPad given to him. He mentioned that his mental health is being questioned and that he might not be fit for a police interview, which could occur after bail if deemed fit.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Dunn, a Canadian citizen, said the local embassy emailed his family a list of lawyers but claimed he could not contact them until he recovered his seized <a href="https://newslinker.co" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow noreferrer" data-wpel-link="external">devices</a>, which he said were 2/5 of his possessions.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">Continuing his updates, <strong>Dunn</strong> stated that he still has his passport and that authorities did not warn him against leaving the country. In a message to another X user, The Rollup, Dunn reportedly said he must return to the police station on August 15. The account also claimed that a private intelligence company was hired to locate Dunn in London.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">In another X post, Dunn stated that UK citizens came together to file a criminal complaint against a local company he claimed was a Pump.fun entity, and that his bail conditions prevented him from communicating with the firm and its CEO.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify"><strong>Pump.fun</strong> team has not made any statements regarding the process, and the private intelligence firm reportedly involved in locating Dunn has not shared details with the public.</p>
