<p>The impending research task concentrates on getting metalenses with added functionalities like color and wide circular polarization while fine-tuning and refining artificial neural networks to improve the overall imaging quality. For the commercial realization of this technology, one needs to invent a new assembly method to embed metalenses into smartphone camera modules in addition to software specially designed for smartphones to improve image quality.</p>
