<p>The British-American social media personality and ex-professional kickboxer, Andrew Tate, seems to have fully embraced the meme stock movement.</p> 
<p>In recent posts on X, he said that he enjoyed contributing to the downfall of hedge funds, and he highlighted that despite his net worth of about $11 million, he has invested $6 million in GameStop.</p> 
<p>He said in a video posted on May 13 that bold decisions reap rewards, and urged people to stop being cowards their whole lives.</p> 
<p>He also highlighted the importance of unity in battling the Matrix, saying that 2020 and 2021 were the years in which we all got to see who the “real men” were.</p>

<p>On Monday, the GameStop madness kicked off. According to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.cnbc.com/2024/05/13/gme-jumps-as-trader-roaring-kitty-who-drove-meme-craze-posts-again.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">CNBC</a>, GameStop shares <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/gamestop-shares-surged-80-before-halt-due-to-high-volatility-as-roaring-kitty-returned-on-x/">rallied</a> on Monday, before a halt in trading. GameStop last traded at around 83.2% after surging 110%. Trading was halted multiple times due to high volatility.</p> 
<p>Tate also addressed the halting issues on his X account, saying that the entire system is a scam, and the Matrix wrecks you endlessly and as soon as you start winning, they turn the game off.</p>

<p>The return of popular trader Roaring Kitty triggered the meme stock <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/roaring-kittys-return-sparks-bullish-run-for-gme-memecoin/">craze</a> once again, following a hiatus of three years.</p> 
<p>Keith Gill, also known as<a href="https://twitter.com/TheRoaringKitty" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">&nbsp;Roaring Kitty</a>, was previously popular for running a Reddit account that was at the center of GameStop’s short squeeze in 2021.</p> 
<p>He was able to lead retail users to drive Gamestop’s stock price to surge back in 2021, and also promoted a significant surge for crypto memes.</p> 
<p>On May 13, he <a href="https://twitter.com/TheRoaringKitty/status/1789807772542067105" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">came back</a> on X, causing the kick-off of a new craze for GameStop shares and the dedicated token built on Solana, GME that saw price surges of over 2,500% on Monday.</p> 
<p>At the moment of writing this article, the GME token is up by over 80% on<a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/gme/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"> CoinMarketCap</a> in the past 24 hours.</p>
