Former U.S. President Donald Trump, in a strategic move to embrace the digital age, has unveiled plans to accept cryptocurrency donations for his 2024 presidential campaign. This groundbreaking announcement was made during an exclusive gathering with buyers of his “Mugshot Edition” NFTs, igniting a buzz that transcended the crypto community. 
The revelation came through a series of video clips shared by Frank Degods, a prominent figure in the NFT space. Addressing his supporters, Trump expressed his unwavering commitment to facilitating cryptocurrency contributions, stating with conviction: 
“If you can’t, I’ll make sure you can. Can we donate to the Trump campaign using crypto? I believe the answer is yes.” 
Trump’s declaration marks a significant shift in his stance towards digital assets, as he had previously expressed skepticism about cryptocurrencies. However, his recent statements position him as a tech-savvy candidate embracing the burgeoning crypto economy. 
Contrasting himself with President Joe Biden, Trump asserted, “If you like crypto in any form, and it comes in a lot of different forms, if you are in favor of crypto, you better vote for Trump.”He further criticized Biden’s administration, claiming a lack of understanding and support for the crypto industry. 
In a bid to attract crypto enthusiasts, Trump vowed to prevent the exodus of crypto businesses from the United States, stating, “If crypto is moving out of the U.S. because of hostility toward crypto… well, we’ll stop it. We don’t want that.”
