Heavy rains in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, have caused severe flooding. Sadly, the flood in Brazil has killed 107 people, over 130 are missing, and more than 370 are injured. In response to the devastating floods in Brazil,cryptocurrency exchanges like BingX and Binance have announced significant initiatives to support affected communities. On May 10, 2024,Vivien Lin, the Chief Product Officer at BingX, made a post on X (previously Twitter), stating, “Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the floods in Brazil. In the world of cryptocurrency, no one is alone.” 
Vivien also pledged to double every donation made through their platform in cryptocurrency, effectively strengthening the impact of each contribution. She added, “This is more than a donation; it’s a symbol of hope and the beautiful potential of cryptocurrency to change the way we support each other across borders and tragedies.” Binance $1 million BNB donation to Brazilian users 
Besides BingXOfficial, the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has decided to donate $1 million in BNB to registered Binance users living in the affected areas. To facilitate the identification process for eligible users in Rio Grande do Sul, Binance Charity has implemented a streamlined protocol. Individuals whose Proof of Address (POA) was officially registered on or before May 6, 2024, will be allowed to receive $80 worth of BNB token vouchers deposited directly into their Rewards Hub.
Recognizing that certain individuals may not have completed their POA registration by the initial deadline, Binance Charity extends its support. Users who submit their POA between May 7, 2024, and June 6, 2024, will still benefit from a generous donation of $25 in BNB token vouchers to their accounts.
The distribution of these donations will commence promptly from May 9, 2024, ensuring swift assistance to those in need. In times of natural disasters, traditional banking services often face significant challenges. By leveraging cryptocurrency transfers, Binance Charity offers a rapid, cost-effective, and globally accessible solution to support victims during crises.
