Lagrange Labs, an emerging player in cryptography and blockchain technology, has raised $13. 2 million as a seed investment. Founders Fund, a venture firm managing by Peter Thiel, led the <a href="https://www.lagrange.dev/blog/the-next-chapter-for-lagrange" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">funding</a> round while Archetype Ventures, 1kx, Maven11, Fenbushi Capital, Volt Capital, CMT Digital, and Mantle Ecosystem Fund also participated. 
This investment aims to support the development and deployment of Lagrange’s ZK Coprocessor, a novel technology designed to enhance cross-chain interoperability and big data scalability in decentralized applications.

Development of ZK Coprocessor 
The ZK Coprocessor by Lagrange Labs is a blockchain technology that preprocesses data into a SNARK-optimized structure. This process utilizes a decentralized network of provers to handle large-scale SQL queries efficiently and cost-effectively.&nbsp; 
The technology is designed for parallel computation and proof generation, which allows it to scale horizontally across multiple operators. The coprocessor supports various applications, including on-chain liquidity and the operation of artificial intelligence or machine learning models. 
Integration with Major Protocols 
Lagrange Labs has incorporated support for several major blockchain protocols, including Ethereum’s liquid restaking protocol EigenLayer, Mantle, Base, Frax, Polymer, LayerZero, Omni, and AltLayer.&nbsp; 
This broad integration aims to enhance the interoperability and functionality of decentralized applications across different blockchain networks. The company plans to launch the ZK Coprocessor on the mainnet later in 2024, further advancing the capabilities of blockchain technology in handling complex data and computations. 
Last year, Lagrange Labs raised $4 million in pre-seed funding, led by the crypto investment firm 1kx, with additional support from Maven11, Lattice Fund, CMT Digital, and Daedalus Angels. The current seed funding marks a step forward in the development and deployment of Lagrange’s innovative technologies.
