<p>At the heart of the matter is whether an “investment contract” necessitates a contractual agreement. Coinbase firmly believes it does, diverging from the SEC’s stance on the issue. The outcome of this appeal could have far-reaching implications for the cryptocurrency industry, shaping the regulatory landscape for digital asset companies across the United States.</p>
