Meme project SLERF founder @Slerfsol posted on the platform X (previously Twitter) that a donation wallet has been set up. LBank is the first donor and will also serve as the custodian of the donation address. However, LBank reportedly has a history of misappropriating user funds. The initial plan was to announce POR in 2022 but only two hot wallets were announced in 2024, with mere 25.79 Bitcoins. LBank makes official announcement 
A previous announcement stated SLERF founder @Slerfsol was seeking a trusted third party to develop a donation wallet, hoping to raise enough funds to refund contributors in full or in part during pre-sale. 
Today, on 19th March, SLERF announced a refund plan for presale participants through donations with crypto exchange. An initiative aimed at rebuilding trust and assisting affected individuals. “The Slerf team will have 0 access to this wallet. So funds are SAFU. This is not a presale, these are donations to support the burned,” Slerf wrote on X. 
Market leaders have also supported the initiative. The CEO of HTX, <a href="https://news.todayq.com/bittorrent-btt-spikes-27-on-justin-suns-this-signal/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Justin Sun</a>, promised to donate all SLERF trading revenue to the presale participants while supporting SLERF’s trading fee mining. 
There are significant risks associated with meme coin presales, which, while potentially profitable, are volatile. It’s therefore a bad idea to invest in quick gains because they come with risks. It still attracts massive investments though. Apparently, about $122.5 million went into new Solana meme coins as per reports. Other donors 
HTX, <a href="https://news.todayq.com/bitget-and-floki-teams-accuse-each-other-of-manipulation-amid-token-listing-dispute/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Bitget</a> and BingX have also agreed to donate the fees from trading to support the Slerf community after the anonymous meme coin developer accidentally burnt $10m of presale funds. 
Crypto exchanges <a href="https://news.todayq.com/justin-suns-htx-withdraws-huobi-hk-license-application-3-days-before-deadline/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">HTX</a> (formerly Huobi), Bitget, and BingX have said that the proceeds from trade activities involving the Slerf token will be given as donations to those who invested in private sales but lost their money due to a large burning of tokens by the developer at fault. 
In a Mar 19 announcement on X, prominent crypto mogul Justin Sun said that HTX would assign transaction fees to “everyone who participated in private sale on HTX” while adding that another few HTX would also go for Slerf’s trading fee mining on its platform without further details, so did Bitget and BingX.
