<ul><li>The system has been simplified to focus on the better selection of consistently performing players</li><li>To be applied starting with the season opener “Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open,” on the 7th of this month</li><li>Lite paper introducing the records of “WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023” has been released on NILE</li></ul>Wemade announced a new “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP” point system ahead of the 2024 season opener of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour.The “Race to WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP” is a new golf point system for the KLPGA Tour introduced last year by Wemade in collaboration with SBS Golf. It awards points based on the performance of the participating players in the tournaments. At the end of the season, prize money is distributed according to the accumulated points ranking. Notably, the top 24 players also earn the right to participate in the “WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP” Tournament.The 2023 season combined “WEMADE Major Points” awarded to players ranking from 1st to 10th place in each tournament, “Stroke Points” for the performances in the final round of the main event, and “Additional Points” for consecutive Top 10 entries or penalties during cut-offs.Wemade revised the WEMIX point system to simplify it, focusing on selecting players who consistently performed well throughout the season.This season, the tournament winner will receive 500 points, with points distributed differentially to the runner-ups according to a distribution table. For major tournaments, 120% of points are awarded. The Top 10 players receive additional “KLPGA Wemade Award Points.” All players who make it to the main event will be given “Ranking Points” based on their final position, simplifying the previously complex Stroke and Additional Points system.The new system will be applied to start with the season opener, the “Hana Financial Group Singapore Women’s Open” on the 7th of this month.Meanwhile, Wemade released a Lite paper in November last year, introducing various records from the WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023. The WEMIX CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 was the world’s first golf tournament based on blockchain technology.
