The Texas Blockchain Council (TBC) and Riot Platforms have filed a lawsuit against the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the United States Department of Energy. The move is a reaction by the plaintiffs to what they claim is a provocative request for information concerning energy consumption coming from cryptocurrency <a href="https://coingape.com/bitcoin-mining-takes-up-0-6-to-2-3-of-us-electricity-consumption-report/?utm_source=cgtelegram">mining operations</a>.
