Former President Donald Trump appears to be shifting his stance on Bitcoin. Back then, he expressed skepticism, saying he was “not a fan.” However, before the South Carolina primary, he mentioned, “I can live with it,” indicating a potential softening of his stance.&nbsp;
Trump also noted the growing acceptance of Bitcoin, stating that “many people are embracing” it and expressing an increase in individuals wanting to transact using BTC. Also, interestingly enough Trump nowholds $2 million worth of the TRUMP memecoin, given to him by token devs.&nbsp; Trump’s take on Crypto, especially Bitcoin 
During an interview onFox News’ The Ingraham Angle, Donald Trump, the Republican Party’s candidate for President of the United States, was questioned about his stance on Bitcoin. Trump said, “Many people are embracing [Bitcoin]. And more and more, I’m seeing people wanting to pay with Bitcoin. You’re seeing something that’s interesting.” 
When asked if the US should accept Bitcoin, Trump said, “Bitcoin has ‘taken a life of its own.’ You probably have to do some regulation. But many people are embracing it. More and more I’m seeing people wanting to pay bitcoin. … I can live with it one way or the other.”
<a href="https://news.todayq.com/bitcoins-halving-and-long-term-holder-trends-signal-a-patient-market/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Market trends</a> have consistently been influenced by Trump’s economic strategies. US monetary policy could undergo noteworthy changes as a result of his criticism of the Federal Reserve and intention to alter its leadership.
Fox News anchor Laura Inghram also mentioned that China is working on its own digital currency Digital Yuan or e-RMB, but Bitcoin is different because it’s not controlled by any one country, and young people really like it. However, he made it clear that he still supports the US dollar, saying, “I always like one really powerful thing and that’s called the Dollar.” Still not a CBDC fan 
In 2019, while serving as president, Trump declared himself “not a fan” of cryptocurrencies, stating that he preferred the stability of the dollar. But now, his primary investment stands at $2 million in TRUMP memecoin. The TRUMP tokens, given to him by the devs skyrocketed 300 times from $7.1K to $2.11M, surpassing the combined value of his holdings in ETH and WETH.
However, Trump remains <a href="https://news.todayq.com/a-big-no-for-cbdc-from-doland-trump-heres-why/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">steadfastly against </a>Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). He’s worried government-controlled digital currencies will limit personal freedoms by increasing governmental control over finances. Inadvertently, this supports decentralized currencies like Bitcoin, which are independent of government regulation.
Despite Trump’s recent investments in cryptocurrencies and apparent softening of his stance, his past statements reflect a degree of ambivalence towards the technology. In the past, he’s voiced concerns about CBDCs, saying he’d oppose their implementation if elected.
