On Monday, South Korean game producer Com2uS revealed a partnership with the Oasys blockchain initiative. As a result of the collaboration, the game developer will be able to better prepare its web3 gaming infrastructure to enter the Japanese market.
A blockchain network focused on&nbsp;gaming, Oasys has collaborated with SoftBank, Sega, and Ubisoft in the past. In order to set up a new layer 2 network that complies with Japanese rules, Com2uS and its <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/korea-blockchain-week-2024-paving-the-way-for-the-future-of-blockchain/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">blockchain</a> subsidiary XPLA will get technical assistance from the network’s core team.
XPLA Team Lead Paul Kim stated:

 “In partnership with Oasys, XPLA will make a significant move into the world’s third largest gaming market, Japan.”

The team lead added that in the first half of 2024, Com2uS plans on releasing two <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/ens-and-godaddy-join-forces-to-enhance-web3-transition/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Web3</a> games in Japan based on “globally recognized” IPs.
The Seoul-based developer is also anticipated to bring its primary gaming franchises, such as ‘Summoners War: Chronicle’ and ‘The Walking Dead: All Stars,’ onto the Oasys network as part of the cooperation.
As of Monday in Asia, the market value of Com2uS, which was created in 1998, exceeded 605 billion Korean won ($454 million).
