<p>These factors played a critical role in influencing teachers’ ethical judgments concerning AI use, suggesting that educators who feel more comfortable with technology may be more open to its integration into their teaching practices.</p>

<p>Aguilar’s research drew parallels with the classic philosophical thought experiment known as the “Trolley Problem,” which poses a moral dilemma regarding sacrificing one life to save many. In the context of education, this dilemma translates into whether teachers should adopt a rule-based (deontological) perspective, prioritizing ethical principles, or an outcome-based (consequentialist) perspective, seeking the best results. Teachers must navigate these ethical dilemmas when deciding when, where, and how to incorporate generative AI in their classrooms.</p>
