<p>About 60% of Americans express confidence that AI will enhance heart care, marking a notable stride in the public’s perception of technology’s role in healthcare. The survey reveals that 65% of respondents are comfortable receiving heart-related advice from AI technology.</p>
<p>Dr. Samir Kapadia, Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, emphasized the potential of AI and digital health advancements in transforming healthcare delivery, particularly in cardiovascular care. Dr. Kapadia noted the increasing curiosity among patients about the role of AI and technology, indicating a need for education to clarify the supportive role of these technologies rather than replacing healthcare professionals.</p>
<p>While Americans are optimistic about AI’s potential, the survey highlights a cautious approach. An overwhelming 89% of respondents express the intent to seek a second opinion from a human doctor before acting on AI recommendations, despite 72% believing in the accuracy of AI advice. This underscores the desire for a balanced approach, integrating both technological advancements and traditional medical expertise.</p>

<p>The survey unveils that half of Americans utilize at least one type of technology to monitor their health, underscoring the growing reliance on digital tools for personal well-being. Daily step count emerges as the most frequently monitored health metric, with 60% of Americans employing technology to track their walking activity.</p>
<p>Following step count, heart rate (53%), calorie burn (40%), and blood pressure (32%) are other health metrics regularly monitored through technology. This trend indicates a widespread integration of digital health tools into individuals’ daily routines, fostering a proactive approach to health management.</p>

<p>According to the survey, four out of five users (79%) reported positive changes to their physical or mental health after adopting health-monitoring technology. Over half of respondents (53%) noted an increased frequency of exercise after incorporating wearable health trackers into their routine. Additionally, 50% reported achieving higher daily step counts, showcasing the positive impact of technology on promoting healthier lifestyles.</p>
<p>One in four Americans (23%) employs health monitors as a source of motivation and accountability in achieving daily activity goals. This highlights the dual role of technology – not only as a passive monitoring tool but also as an active catalyst for behavioral changes and adherence to health objectives.</p>
